Heart burning is inspired by the industrial and labyrinthine center of Seoul, Euljiro, threatened to be demolished and replaced by luxury apartments. It explores the conflict between modernization and the urge to preserve organize networks, like this unique pulsing manufacturing heart. The hands which dig into the soil are equipped with synthetic nails made out of found materials in Euljiro. They continue in some way to extract and find an alternative ecosystem to survive.
